Great Guides & Exceptionally Skilled Bus Drivers

As you look through this scrapbook at all the photos of the spectacular places we visited, you could think the sites were the highlight of this trip.  And they were truly amazing!  However, the true stars of this trip were our tour guide, Matti, and our bus driver, Big John.  Everywhere we went, they shared stories and insights that brought the places we visited to life.  Matti was always in the front leading us on to “our next adventure!”  As soon as the bus was parked, John could be found at rear guard like a shepherd, watching for stragglers and making sure no one fell behind.  We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities to talk with both of them during our free time and learned so much about their perspectives on culture and history.  We cannot overstate the wealth of information and value they brought to our tour experience. If we had to pick only one “WOW” moment, it would be meeting these two gentlemen.  ​
